Unable to start Dyson Sphere Program with Proton on Gentoo

I'm not exactly sure what's going on here as to why I'm unable to even have an window appear from the play button on Steam..

Proton versions tried: Experimental and 6.3.
Gentoo Profile is set to desktop, with openrc.
Desktop environment is KDE.
Gentoo packages:

media-libs/mesa: 21.1.7
sys-kernel/gentoo-sources: 5.14.0

Hello @samip5, we're using one issue per unofficially supported game title, and usually I'd transfer this issue report to #4572, however, it's fairly clear from your system information that your issue is that you built mesa without USE=vulkan. Proton uses DXVK to translate DirectX 9-11 to Vulkan and expects the system to provide support for that graphics API.

Please rebuild mesa with Vulkan support. If that doesn't help with the game, then please add a note to #4572 with an updated system information and Proton log, and we'll continue pondering the riddle there.
