Symptoms

  • The game will fail to load assets for the next scene and will freeze requiring a restart. Happens at a rate of <30 minutes

Sorry if this is considered off-topic.

I am using proton-cachyos-9.0-20250102 which has NTSYNC support. With NTSYNC enabled using PROTON_USE_NTSYNC=1, I have only softlocked (which recovered) twice over a total of 2 hours of gameplay (not in one session).

With NTSYNC disabled, I am constantly experiencing softlocks and freezes.

I think this suggest NTSYNC solves this game's constant softlock/freeze issue.

Using Arch Linux, NTSYNC is enabled via installing ntsync-dkms
