Describe the bug
DOOM VFR crashes on launch. Tried with Proton Experimental, 6.x and 5.x.

Hello @Shotweb, issues with games run with Proton are being tracked in the Proton issue tracker, so I've gone ahead and transferred this issue report.

Please add PROTON_LOG=1 %command% to the game's launch options and attach the generated $HOME/steam-$APPID.log to this issue report as a file. (Proton logs compress well if needed.) Also, please copy your system information from Steam (Steam -> Help -> System Information) and put it in a gist, then include a link to the gist in this issue report.

I can add that I very briefly see a small and seemingly empty window appear and immediately disappear, when trying to launch the game.
