Can confirm this works. I guess the issue is only resolved/closed when the fix makes it into a release?
May I have some help pls?
My OS is POP OS! and I ̀m trying to run Wartales with proton experimental which seams to work according to the last comments but for me I ̀m still stuck like mhalmagiu.
I have tried to launch Wartales with Proton Experimental and the only thing that pops up is a terminal and nothing changes if I let it load.
In the steam settings/Steam Play I have enabled steam play for supported files and for all other titles and chosen Proton experimental.
On the Wartales settings/compatibility I have chosen force the use of Proton experimental.
The terminal opens in Z:\home\my_name.steam\debian-installation\steamapps\common\Wartales\Wartales.exe.
Thanks in advance for the help,
OutaTim3

Hi @outatim3 .
You need to opt-in to "bleeding-edge" proton-experimental in the "Betas" tab of proton-experimental. Right-click on proton-experimental and go to "Betas". There you will find the opt-in option "bleeding-edge". If you do not find proton-experimental in your library list, activate the library to also show "Tools" (besides "Games").
Good luck.
PS: Thank you very much for the fix, @gofman

System Information

steam-1527950.log.tar.gz
Symptoms
This game doesn't start at all with Steamplay. A terminal window opens, it's blank with a flashing cursor, nothing else happens.
The demo for this game worked perfectly.
I tried experimental, the latest 6 and latest 5 branch of Steamplay that I have access to. I tried both the OpenGL and Default (presumably DirectX) versions of the game and the effect is the same.
With the OpenGL version, the terminal closes itself after a few minutes.
Reproduction
Try to start the game
