Symptoms

Black screen while music is playing. This might be getting to menu (due to sound playing) but nothing on screen.

Reproduction

  1. press play
  2. wait for game to load, click once to make sure you are getting to menu
  3. you should hear sound but screen is black

Hello @ipr, it looks like this game would benefit from support for d3dx9 maturing.

Just a bit of an update with Proton 8.0-4 and Experimental.

You can get into menu now and they work, but loading into time attack hangs on a "please wait" message indefinitely. (Edit: meant "time attack", not "instant race" as I said before. "time attack" might be trying to access leaderboard from a server?)"

More interesting perhaps that trying to open Steam overlay (shift+tab) hangs the game.
In this case log has message:
179098.177:0130:0574:err:seh:handle_syscall_fault Syscall stack overrun.
