Symptoms

You can't connect to Online game anymore. Before last game update the game was working good. Now only thing working are the 'loot' menus to collect coins or spend them. But all of three online game modes are unreachable, after loading for a couple of seconds, it brings you back to the menu with an error message telling you No Internet Connection, please check your internet connection.
Joining on someone in the in game friend list doesn't work, same behavior.

Reproduction

Launch the game, click Play button in the menu, select a game mode and try to join an online session.

I noticed by try to delete the prefix and selecting another older Proton version, it starts to load to the menu but it seems an installer is progressing before reaching the main menu, and it crashed. Not sure if it is relevant but previous version of the game ran on these older Proton version (at least version 5.x)

Is there anything I can do to help getting this fixed? I tried Proton Experimental but this version also doesn't allow to connect to online Battle Royal (or other game modes), despite the rest of the game working (looting of coins, spending of coins, modifying/progressing your crab, from main menu).

Here is a recent log with Proton Experimental and more debug info, I started the game, tried to join online game, got denied, closed the game: steam-1273710.zip

Still unable to join online games. Coin collection and coin spending in the shop works.

New log with latest Proton 7, on a recreated prefix. Usual test, launched the game, clicked Play, clicked King (battle royal), it failed to connect, I quit the game: steam-1273710.zip

Game randomly started working again for the online part (we could still grab the daily rewards, but not play online, which is 99.9% of the game).
