Symptoms

1. Severe frame-rate drops when certain graphical effects happen (weapon muzzle flashes). It doesn't always do this, but once it starts happening it won't stop until I restart Steam, restarting the application won't fix it. It happens on both Xorg and XWayland.
2. Intro video doesn't play correctly and the game will freeze if not skipped.

Reproduction

1. Hard to reproduce because it's random. It can happen right away, some random time into a session or not at all.
2. Simply starting the game.
