This is supposed to be fixed already in Experimental [bleeding edge] (in Proton Experimental properties, BETAS page, it is possible to select the branch).

Seems to still be broken, I am using Steam beta and proton experimental
There was no Proton Experimental proper release since then, so if you are not using Proton Experimental [bleeding edge] branch that is expected.

Still crashes on Proton 6.3-8
Besides Experimental [bleeding-edge], the fix should be in the just released Proton 7.0.
When does that come out?
About today.
Yep confirmed that it works again but it did act a little funky at first and had lower framerates
Game crashes after a few seconds of black screen with "loading please wait" after entering the game from the lobby today. It was running perfectly yesterday.
Have tested with Proton 7.0-1 and Proton Experimental, and have cleared the game cache.

Hmm that's really odd, maybe another fix will be needed or something else is the issue
I've been trying to play RuneScape recently since last year and I always crash either when opening the world map or when using a teleport spell.
I'm running Arch Linux with zen-kernel 6.7.0, Ryzen 5 3600, 32GB RAM and a Radeon RX 6700 XT.
I have attached the log and I also have a coredump file, if needed.

The steam+linux runescape player app switcher would like steam_app_13... to be renamed runescape.
