Symptoms

Controller does not work when Steam input is enabled. For example, any button does not work as "start", menu items cannot be browsed with analog sticks or directional pad and no selections possible.

Turning off (disabling) Steam input makes controller work but input is then in entirely wrong buttons with DualShock 4.
For example, "start" is in right trigger, "confirm" is in square and so on. Browsing menu items works.

  1. plug in controller
  2. start game
  3. try to control with controller

Controls work with Steam input in Proton 6.3 but game crashes soon after starting battle. So there is a regression in controller support.
Edit: crashes with 7.0 as well after a while when playing with keyboard.

@ipr Thanks, I'm able to reproduce the controller input problem. I've filed a bug for a dev to take a look at, will let you know what we find out.
