I now have an AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT graphics card and have gotten it working with Proton 4.2-9 and by selecting the arrow with a drop down menu in the game launcher and clicking Options>Repair>Repair.
This game still does not work for me with newer versions of proton.

Does the issue happen if you launch with PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%

Vvpfeiffer 2022-09-08 github

The launcher launches with PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% and PROTON_LOG=1 %command% and Proton 7.0-4 which is farther than I got previously.
The game is currently down for maintenance until 1200 EDT so I'll test it again in a few hours to make sure.

Can confirm that the game works with the two proton launch options and proton version I specified in my previous comment. There does appear to be an issue with the camera where it gets stuck in a top down view or a bottom up view but that may warrant creating a new issue for that. This issue isn't present with Proton 4.2-9.

Can confirm that adding PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% works with Proton 7.31-1
