Symptoms

All windows games apparently close straightaway, or never launch. Its inconsistent if a log is produced or not.

Hello @mariomadproductions, the NVIDIA GeForce GT 620 video card is part of the Fermi generation video cards. The video drivers for this generation of video card does not support Vulkan. Additionally, the Sandybridge generation GPU on the Intel side also does not support Vulkan, which makes your hardware unsupportable by Proton.

I have been using PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% to circumvent this with Proton 5.0-10. Many Fighting games I play work fine with this.
This way you'll use Proton will use Open GL instead of Vulkan. Sadly it does not work with newer versions of Proton.
