Hi!
I'm trying to run Textractor in the same wine prefix as the game (1273260).
I tried both Proton 6.3-8 and 7.0-2 with the same result.
Steps:
Install 1273260 with Proton compatibility
protontricks 1273260 shell
wine ~/Downloads/Textractor-5.2.0-Setup.exe
Result in the error
07bc:err:winediag:nodrv_CreateWindow Application tried to create a window, but no driver could be loaded.
07bc:err:winediag:nodrv_CreateWindow Make sure that your X server is running and that $DISPLAY is set correctly.
I can launch the game itself using steam just fine. I can also launch the exe using system-provided wine
Also, doing:
protontricks 1273260 --gui
Select the default wineprefix
Run
Results in the same error
Finally, I'm not sure if it's expected, but the game doesn't launch if terminal with the protontricks shell is alive. (From the Textractor's thread it seems that somebody was able to launch protontricks shell -> start game -> wine the exe file in the protontricks)
