Symptoms

The game plays extremely well with the latest Proton Experimental (as of 5/15/2022). The starting movie plays, the audio and graphics are nearly perfect. I played the game for several hours with no issues, until I uncovered a special fishing spot for the first time. Then a helpful tutorial video pops up embedded into the game. This video does not display, but you instead get the broadcast bars.

Reproduction

Get to a point in the game with an embedded tutorial video that is not full screen, but within the game window.

Symptoms

  • Loading screen could freeze.
  • When the loading screen freezes, music will continue playing in the background and performance overlay would freeze. Steam overlay still work and can be used to terminate the game.
  • Total memory utilization by GPU and CPU is less than 15GB. Swap file size has been increased to 8GB to ensure the game has enough memory.

Reproduction

  • Enter loading screen by fast travelling, zoning between maps, entering cutscene.
  • This bug does not appear to have any particular trigger aside from entering loading screen.

Symptoms

The game crashes sometimes or stops loading during scene changes or just hangs on loading screens
Ocasionally physics behave weirdly in crharacters dresses for instance
The game configuration gets reset when you exit from the deck overlay. Happens on other Gust games too

Steam Deck LCD, stable 3.6 Steam OS, latest version of proton 9 and experimental.
The game still freezing during loading screens, the only thing that seems common between the freezes is that it happen (at least to me) when exiting a building (the atelier or any shop).
