Symptoms

The game runs but nothing unlocks due to the wininet connection error shown in the log, no achievments, no extra maps, characters or pets will unlock. I've already tried several different versions of proton including the GE versions, vanilla wine as well, the same connection error each time, I've also installed native wininet.dll with winetricks.

Reproduction:

run the game & play for a while.

After some detective work I found the connection problem in the log isn't actually a problem, everything is unlocking as it should, it was an RTFM situation on my part. :)
