Symptoms

After starting the game, quite soon in the early stages game exits. There is a dialog box with message "Failed to call ConnectFilters" and game exits

Log shows error "An exception occured at utility.tjs" and related information

Reproduction

  1. start game, select new game
  2. play for a while until error appears

could you explain the "lav filters + quartz" part

this issue seems to effect 3 VN if not more

Install LAV Filters & Quartz via Protontricks (you can find Protontricks in Discovery) in the prefix.

ProtonGE you can get via ProtonUp-Qt from Discovery.

Problem still exists with Proton 10.1 beta.

I think upstream Wine already has a fix for the splitter, has that been included in Proton?
