Symptoms

All backgrounds are black. Setting to Full-screen mode will also make buttons on-screen and top setting-menu black which can't revert back to windowed mode.
Luckily, the settings are shared from the cloud so I can change them in Windows and sync them back to Ubuntu.

Reproduction

Install, lunch the game, and change the Display setting to Full-screen mode.
