Symptoms

Starting "new game" from main menu causes game to exit.

Logs show there is problem with GStream plugin being not found:
winegstreamer error: decodebin0: Your GStreamer installation is missing a plug-in. winegstreamer error: decodebin0: ../src-gst_base/gst/playback/gstdecodebin2.c(4719): gst_decode_bin_expose (): /GstBin:bin0/GstDecodeBin:decodebin0: no suitable plugins found: Couldn't set protonvideoconverter0 to READY

However, that does not seem fatal (maybe intro video missing?). Later the log has:
wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0000000000000018 at address 0000000140BB1BD3 (thread 022c), starting debugger...

And after that there is stacktrace.

  1. press "play" to start game
  2. select "new game" from main menu
  3. observe game exit

Update: current experimental does not exit like previously and I get the brightness setting when starting a new game. After this there is a brief test-pattern (video not shown). After there is black screen with sound, music and subtitles but screen remains black. So there is progress, not perfect but getting closer.
