Symptoms

Fatal error when launching the game.

Reproduction

  • Launch the game from steamvr home or from pressing "play" on the Steam Client
  • A small splash logo will briefly appear
  • then it disappears and a small dialog shows with "Fatal Error!" and "ok" to be pressed.

Interestingly, there's a VRDB report for the game from June that says it's working in SteamVR: https://db.vronlinux.org/games/942390.html

I had refunded the game, so I'll wait for the next sale to buy it again and update this ticket with my own tests.
