Symptoms

Menu icons/text can be seen, but the background image doesn't appear. Can select new game, loading screen appears briefly and then black screen. Can hear start of the intro video but after narrator says the first couple of lines, nothing else happens, can still hear background music though.

Reproduction

Just install and boot, then hit new game :)

Hoping to revive any effort to take a look at this game. I'm hoping it is an easy fix. One of my favorite childhood games of all time.

Symptoms

The game does load, and music plays, but all textures outside of menu textures are essentially black, leading to a fully black screen. Once in game, you can shoot a weapon and particle effects do render, so this leads me to believe that most of the game is actually working, just nothing is being rendered on screen outside of the UI and particles.

To my knowledge, this is due to the AMD GPU. I have run this on Windows and Linux and it works with Nvidia GPUs but not AMD GPUs. Have not found a fix yet.
