This issue is still present even with all the updates to Proton over the last year. Is there nothing that can be done at all? I mean it seems like the game would run perfectly fine if it weren't for the weird display issue.
I have audio and everything else but the screen still looks the same as mentioned above. It's strange how the first collection works so well. I know there's a ton of other games to fix but just wondering if there is any headway. Everyone involved with troubleshooting and helping get more games on Linux. Thank you!

I hope something can be done, the game seems to function properly otherwise.
@Kontrabant, do you know if that is in any existing proton build or would it have to be cherry picked? It would be great if it worked! Thanks!
With the updated DXVK in Proton version 6.3-1, this game now appears to be playable. The graphical corruption issue has been fixed. And audio is working.
I only did a quick test, but Mega Man 7, 9 and 10 all seem fine. Mega Man 8 seems to have a cutscene, which currently displays the test pattern. So it is not perfect, but doesn't prevent playing the game.
Seems like cutscenes currently aren't working.

It works in version 6.3-8, but this will not work for any version higher (or lower) than this. Can that be looked at?
Hello @gardotd426, @felkeM, can one of you please add PROTON_LOG=1 %command% to the game's launch options, reproduce the regression, and attach the generated $HOME/steam-$APPID.log to this issue report as a file. (Proton logs compress well if needed.)
@kisak-valve , I managed to reproduce the FMV playback bug using Proton Experimental. Here is the log file:
