Had this issue as well until I remembered I had EAC blocked in /etc/hosts as a workaround for Star Citizen.

Check your /etc/hosts and make sure you comment out (and reload systemd-hostnamed) if it exists:
127.0.0.1 modules-cdn.eac-prod.on.epicgames.com

This fixed my problem. Thank you so much!!! I never would have spotted that one. Serves me right running star citizen install scripts willy nilly.

Not a particularly helpful addition but between release EA and the current update performance has gone from bad to near unplayable. Running EndeavorOS with a AMD 5700 XT GPU and AMD 3600 CPU
