Symptoms

All games crash after a few seconds of a completely black screen with a console like "_" in the top left corner.
The whole session is lost as well (all opened windows), so I suppose kwin crashes?
Started happening few days ago. Don't know when exactly because I wasn't using proton for a while.

Reproduction

Not really reproductible for someone else i suppose
Run any game using any proton version (wine-staging works)

Hello @HxxThSwggr, this reads like a video driver issue more than a Proton issue. X connection to :1 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown). in your Proton log suggests that the user session is being knocked out from underneath the game.

This issue should be reported to your video driver vendor.
