Update:

  • I had this issue where I was able to install the game but it would not start (Steam would show as it is running but then just crashes seconds later with no error displayed or in the log)
  • After installing it on a different partition, game starts and works very well (Proton 8.0-2)

Edit: It looks like the issue was on my end after all, I moved the folder to a different drive and was able to complete the game without any issues. Yay!
