Symptoms

Does not launch. The Steam "Play" button changes to a blue "Cancel" button for a few seconds, then to a "Stop" button, then back to the green "Play" button with no other visible events happening.

I launched Steam via commandline so I could grab the stdout from the attempted launch:

Reproduction

Run Steam on an Arch Linux box. Press the "Play" button for Firmament.

Hello @eyeonus, please copy the contents of Steam Runtime Diagnostics from Steam (Steam -> Help -> Steam Runtime Diagnostics) and put it in a gist, then include a link to the gist in this issue report.

Thanks, your system is configured to use AMDVLK. Can you test how the game behaves when run with mesa/RADV instead?

I found this and switched to RADV using the environment variable method.
The game runs now, so apparently it's a driver issue.

Thanks for the help!
