I have the same problem with my Zigbee dongle. Zigbee2MQTT reports a disconnect and then restarts successfully after a game start/stop. Ubuntu 25.04.
I have Zigbee2MQTT Docker container (see configuration below). It works fine until I open a game using Proton from any app (e.g. Lutris, Steam). Then it loses connection with the USB-connected adapter and restarts. How do I fix it? My system is Ubuntu 25.04, Ubuntu and Docker are updated, as well as the Zigbee2MQTT image.
Same problem. I have an arduino connected with my PC which talks via USB serial. The arduino restarts whenever a proton game is launched, causing the serial connection to reset. Using CachyOS w/ kernel 6.17.1-2-cachyos
Same problem, when I open a game my ESP32-S3 disconnects
Nothing extracted yet.
This is more of a observation/ question than an issue, so feel free to close this if you want.
When I start a game that uses Proton/ ProtonGE my Arduino connected via USB resets/ turns off shortly.
I notice this because it shortly turns off my LEDs controlled by the Arduino, which makes my room go dark.
This is not the case when starting the WINE server in other ways, so it appears not to be a generic WINE thing.
This is probably better asked in some WINE forum, but does starting the WINE server like remount all USB devices?
Anyway, I would love to hear the reason for this behavior :P
PS: Tested with both X11 and Wayland on Plasma, kernel is 6.4.2-3-MANJARO
Will gladly provide any logs.
