Symptoms

  • Not sure if it's just me, but I'm noticing some severe screen tearing where the game skips a couple of frames every second. I've tested this with ChimeraOS on the Legion Go and I'm seeing the same thing there. Switching Proton versions, enabling/disabling vsync, adjusting resolution, etc. didn't do anything to alleviate the tearing.

Reproduction

  1. Run the game.
  2. Observe the tearing.

I should note at first the tearing wasn't very noticeable, until I had connected the Deck to an external monitor. At that point the tearing was worse, even after disconnecting from the monitor.

Just giving a quick update on this, I deleted the compatdata for this game and the tearing was mostly eliminated.

If anyone needs to do this themselves, please back up the compatdata first, as it contains the game's save files (there's no Steam Cloud support).
