Crashes for me after the Firefly logo

As workarounds to prevent the crash after the Firefly logo from happening two things work for me:

  1. Edit the game settings under general and switch of the Steam Overlay
    image
  2. Edit the game settings under general to run the game through gamescope, e.g. gamescope -f -H 1440 -- %command%

Either the latest game update and/or the latest steam beta client update:

  • Fixed steam overlay causing rendering to stall in some titles (e.g. Watch_Dogs)
  • Fixed steam overlay causing crashes in some titles

appears to have fixed this now being able to start the game and get past the Firefly logo without any workarounds applied.

Adding PROTON_SET_GAME_DRIVE=1 stops the game from crashing when starting a level.

Hello, I recently stop playing Stronghold Definitive Edition because of following issue.
After starting the game and some loading time the game starts in full screen. The voice of the intro is displaying but only one whole colour block is displayed 😂 (basically one pixel over a 2k screen).
I'm also able to skip the intro, but I'm not able to see anything.

To still play some certain games I'm booting into Windows and so far I got no issues with it. Now even Windows got this problem.
Reinstallation is not working, the vulkan shaders are new compiled. Does anyone understand what the issue is, that I can search about it?

Where am I able to see the log of the app?
The Launch Options are set: PROTON_LOG=1; dxgi.maxFrameRate = 60" %command%
