Symptoms
I have tried to get this game up and running on my steamdeck for months now. I have exhausted all options in lutris and steam's proton. the only person that even talked about this game running on linux is here: https://www.reddit.com/r/LinuxCrackSupport/comments/xeckb4/comment/iogaqd1/ and I have reciprocated those steps with no luck.
The closest I got to get this game to boot was when I added MC.EXE to steam, it attempted to boot up, flashed an all white screen for a second or two and then crashed.
Reproduction
get spiderman friend or foe on myabandonware, install it via lutris or copy the files from your windows installation, add MC.EXE or the other 2 .exes to steam and try to run it.
