What is the output of ulimit -Hn?
1048576
Had it been 4096 I would have suggested some action to get it up to 1048576. That had helped me in issues with esync.
I had crashes if sound or music were on. The option PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 helped. There is no any crashes with sound and music. Thank you.
Ubuntu 18.04. Proton 4.2; Proton 4.11
Game crashes on start even with PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 option.

Hello @mrvldmr, can you check if the game behaves better with Proton 4.2? code=c000008e in the log is apparently a divide by zero error.
Hello @kisak-valve
The game behaves the same way.

The game won't launch. Tried with and w/o PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 that was recommended in other report.
A year or two ago this game worked with Proton, but now it doesn't work with any version.
Try launching the game.
Nevermind my report, it looks like there is a problem with my Debian install. On freshly installed EndeavourOS the game works ok (with frequent hangs, but playable). Don't know if it's the updated kernel and Mesa or something else.

Crashes without
PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1option.Works perfectly when that option is enabled.
Tested on Ubuntu 18.04, linux 4.15.0-33, i5-8250U, Intel UHD Graphics 620 (Mesa 18.3.0-devel)
