Symptoms

Game boots up in under 10 seconds running with proton 5.13-6, but using any version past that results in the game never booting, waited up for a minute on proton Experimental but it never booted.

Hello @waspennator, your Proton log has various d3dcompiler errors that hint it would be more interesting to re-evaluate how the game behaves after the next time vkd3d-shader is pulled in from upstream vkd3d (not to be confused with vkd3d-proton).
