Hello @boxyld, this issue should also be mentioned to your video driver vendor.

I am experiencing a similar issue, but I'm not sure if this is the same issue, so I have a few more questions to clarify:

will freeze the whole system the second time i run them

How do you recover from that freeze? Is the system completely unresponsive, or is it just very, very slow to respond? On my machine I can Alt-Tab out of the game - it takes about 30 seconds between pressing the keys and the switch to actually happen, but once I'm back to the desktop everything is fully responsive and I can close the game from the Steam client. Or I can press Alt-F4 inside the game and it will eventually close. Is the same true on your machine?

until i update the NVIDIA drivers or reinstall them

What if you install a different Proton version? On my machine it does help for a while. I switched from Proton Experimental to 9, to 8, and now to 7. Every such switch makes the problem go away for a while, but it eventually re-appears. Also, going back to already "used" Proton version does not help.
