as seen in this image compatiblity with DX11 doesn't seem to work with proton. I have recently updated to Ultramarine Linux 40 after using version 39 for a while (Ultramarine being a fedora bassed distro) after the update proton started trowing directX errors. I have reinstalled my graphics drivers already and that didn't seem to fix the issue. any help would be appreciated

Hello @MistikCodes, please copy the contents of Steam Runtime Diagnostics from Steam (Steam -> Help -> Steam Runtime Diagnostics) and put it in a gist, then include a link to the gist in this issue report.

Thanks, https://gist.github.com/MistikCodes/914016d2252c35835c47ac20b72e470d#file-gistfile1-txt-L88-L103 is the section to focus on. You've configured your system to use mesa/NVK. DXVK needs a Vulkan 1.3 capable driver to work, but the current driver looks like it's only providing Vulkan 1.1.

https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/issues/9478 shows that there's been recent progress working towards that. Please retest with mesa 24.1.0(release candidate) or newer, or use the proprietary NVIDIA driver.

I will do that and report as soon as i can

Hey, been supporting this from the Ultramarine side, their system should have the proprietary drivers (we reinstalled them) I'm curious as to which GPU you're using?

Can't reproduce, works fine on GTX1050 (Laptop) with proprietary drivers. gist
