Hello Valve!

I'm working on trying to get the PLITCH trainer software working on Proton and wanted to ask if I could discuss the semantics over email (given it's a proprietary piece of software) with Valve.

The PLITCH team and I did discuss getting their software working on Steam Deck/Linux, and whilst they don't want to offer dedicated support at this time, I'm missing the trainers on my Linux gaming machine and wanted to work on it on a community basis.

I won't publish my email in this ticket, but it would be great to talk with Valve about the proposal on a community basis. I'm sure we can discuss this openly soon, but for now, I wanted not to clog up this issue tracker.

Thank you.

NOTE: This is not an official endorsement from PLITCH or an initiative by PLITCH. I'm merely working on my own to collaborate with Valve on adding support for PLITCH.

Hey @shymega,

Did you get any traction in this? I am looking to make the switch to Linux myself and this post showed up when searching for this exact thing.

I've got my cheat Steam Play tool created here, but Steam Support closed my support request when I reached out with a effective 'wontfix' resolution.

I suspect it'll be a conflict of interest with Steam/Valve and VAC/game publishers to be honest. Denuvo and such. I'm going to close this ticket for now, as I do not believe Valve will engage directly.

Nothing extracted yet.
