Symptoms

Opening cutscenes no longer play. Switching back to 8.0-5 does not fix the problem.

I've already have my own customized Wine version. This version is both based and enhanced on Gloriouss Eggroll version. It is taken from Wine bleeding edge from May 3rd 2024.
Cutscenes work properly on the weird Linux distro aka Wubuntu 11.4.6 using my own customized Wine version.
It seems to be related to your Git Mesa version
