Did some more digging. I'm getting what looks like the same crash on another desktop (3500X, Arc A580, Nobara). Launches and runs just fine on Steam Deck though. And no, SteamDeck=1 doesn't fix it on the desktops.

Weird. Mine is on Beta channel and running the game with regular Proton Experimental. No issues, just kinda awkward to play since the game apparently has zero controller support.

I'm on main and it just dies like on desktop. I'll try to provide some logs later today if there's anything interesting, desktop logs are kinda barren though.

Hmm well reading up on that, the anticheat must have something flagged in proton because when it detects a cheat it will force quite the game as soon as possible :/
Verified and confirmed that the DRM is indeed checking for wine/proton and then specifically if it's running on the steamdeck. So this is a DRM issue and not a proton/wine issue unfortunately.
