File README.MD has a link in Introduction section that links to a blog post here: https://steamcommunity.com/games/221410/announcements/detail/1696055855739350561

Scroll down and under first question Q: What do I need to get started? there is a link that leads to a missing file in an old branch in this repository: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/blob/proton_3.7/PREREQS.md

Text says that there are quick instructions for other distributions but that file is gone. Users who want to learn more would click on it expecting to find info as they were linked to this article from the README of this repository but discover a missing file and are confused.

Additional thought

That article does not mention that users have to open each of the games properties they want to play with Proton and in Compatibility section check "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool".

This is how I got one my Windows-only games running. If I don't check that checkbox in settings, Install buttons stay greyed out. So I think it's a good idea to add this step to instructions.
