I was able to finish the game with using VKD3D (-dx12) with some blurry textures at the beginning of the game, but later the textures work fine. The audio also crackles randomly, but not very often.
@kisak-valve It's worth to note that the game works without using DX12 when using Proton 6.3-8, so I think you can put the "Regression" label. Doesn't work with Proton 7.0-6 and newer. Textures look better on 6.3-8 comparing to newest Proton with VKD3D.
@GalecO1987 Thank you for the report! It looks like we need to improve our h264 video playback support to get this game working again. We are in the process of working on this :)
I looked into the blurriness issue a bit and it looks like a vkd3d-proton issue since it only happens with -dx12 enabled in my testing. The better place to report that is github.com/vkd3d-proton
I can no longer reproduce the issue with blurry textures on VKD3D (-dx12) at the beginning of the game with both stable (9.0-2) and Experimental versions of Proton.

System Information
I confirm:
Symptoms
After starting a new game, the introduction video will not play unless ran with "-dx12" or "-d3d12" launch option or Proton 6.3-8 (newer versions don't work). Skipping the intro crashes the game.

Reproduction
Launch the game, click "play", click "new game" and you get a white screen with no option to skip and play.
