Symptoms

The game works as expected on steamdeck but as soon as I try to play on desktop linux, it refuses to launch. you can get the game to boot and show it's opening logos if you put -dx11 in the command line but the 3rd logo has a large black square in the middle and afterwords the game hangs at a black screen

Reproduction

try to open the game (not sure if it'll play differently on amd gpus), once testing a few times, test again by putting -dx11 in the launch commands, you will be greeted with the opening logos and then a hang.

Symptoms:

The game does not allow for changing the display mode in the settings. But, using Alt+Enter can cycle between Fullscreen, Borderless Windowed, and Windowed.

Toggling the display mode and/or switching between the game and other applications with Alt+Tab, then obtaining an item such as a Golden Acorn or Cosmetic Item from a case that causes a rendered scene/cutscene causes the game to crash.

Reproduction

  1. Start the game.
  2. While in-game hit Alt+Enter to switch to Windowed mode.
  3. Alt+Tab to another application.
  4. Switch back to the game.
  5. Obtain a Golden Acorn or similar item (may take an item or two).
  6. Crash.
