Symptoms

The game starts to a black screen. Audio plays and the game makes menu sounds when the A/X or B/O controller buttons are pressed, but nothing except a black screen is ever shown.

Reproduction

Try to run the game as normal.

@IWarnedYouAboutStairs Hi there and thank you for the report.
The issue happens because of missing DirectComposition support in Proton. For now you can work around the issue by launching the game with WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dcomp=" %command%

@Blisto91 There's video now, but the game freezes a few seconds after starting. It spits out massive Proton logs too, over 120MiB after running for only a few seconds. In case it's useful: steam-664060.tar.gz
