Symptoms

The Game crashed after creating a new character and start to play the game. It only happens when I'm using mesa driver 1:24.3.0-2 with 1:24.2.7.1 everything is working.

I only got a crash-log of Project Zomboid in the native version but not when using proton.

Reproduction

If you are on CachyOS and use the mesa 1:24.3.0.2 driver you can reproduce this crash.

Looks like this was already fixed in the video driver and lined up for the next point release https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/issues/12187.

Symptoms

Multiple times slower loading times compared to native.

Reproduction

Start the game normally with any mods enabled, the slow down is especially noticeable during "loading lua" part of the loading process. Issue exist for over a year.
