@cleka010 Did you rollback to 9.0-3 after getting 9.0-4 or are you going by prior experiences? I tried the game on 9.0-4 and 9.0-3 and in my case both were affected by lower performance in online matches, checked on windows as well and there I saw the same issue

the 9.0-3 it's best solution by far , I mean works a lot of better than windows 11 where the game is unplayable and crash constanly
in LInux above 9.0-3 is stuttering a lot, below 9.0-3 the EAC support not works for me.
the only problem with 9.0-3 is that steam in-game-overlay not works whereas in the experimental it does but keeps the stuttering

with 9.0-3 I get 60fps/60hz to avoid stuttering online mode, that game is a piece of programing-trash in general and locked at 60hz in online mode and there lies the main source of problems in that mode, plus shaders, plus 2k servers...bla, bla
you need at least 60fps in online modes to play fine but that I said 2k25 is a trash piece of code that is always in beta status

@cleka010 I think you misunderstood my question. Have you played with proton 9.0-3 after proton 9.0-4 released? Are you using 9.0-3 right now?

Symptoms

The game NBA 2K25 does not correctly detect the RAM of the graphics card with >=media-libs/mesa-25.0.0, and consequently there is a drop in performance with proton >= 9.0-3

Reproduction

After updating from mesa-24.3.4-r1 to >=mesa-25.0.0

Thanks so much, I have tested with mesa-9999 and seems is detecting the ram like before of issue.

I am on endeavourOS and I can get 2k25 to open, however after a few minutes of playing, the game freezes and I have to force quit the game. I am also getting horrible graphics results and flickering on the textures for the NPCs in blacktop... I haven't tested any other game modes yet.
