Proton 4.2-1 completely breaks this game.

Launching the game causes Steam to crash.

The issue can easily be worked around by forcing the game to use an older version of Proton.

The issue I was having apparently resolved itself.

After playing the game using Proton 3.16-8 for awhile, I tried switching back to 4.2-1 and the game worked perfectly.

It seems that switching between Proton versions did something that fixed the game.

Hi guys!
When I play SC2 in windowed mode I am unable to resize the window and maintain native resolution. It seems the window size isn't reported properly, the buttons remain in original position whereas graphics are resized (looking fuzzy as if they're just stretched, not actually resized).

Running the game in full screen seems to work all the way up to 2560x1440, albeit dual screen mode isn't available although I have two monitors available on this machine.

I have a second machine which doesn't run Arch Linux but instead Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and the same symptoms appear there. These symptoms have been around for at least the last year if not longer.

Please let me know in case there's anything I can do, test or otherwise to help out fixing this annoying situation. :-)

Edit: Ok, so it seems I had missed some command line options that were available. [2] These should be added to Launch options under game Properties in the Steam Library. One resolution I had luck with was 1920x1200. I had no luck with 1920x1080, the game would never arrive even at the main menu with that, I just got a black screen instead, with no sound either.
With these in place the game starts in larger resolutions, windowed, no problem. But resizing is still not possible, I'm merely able to start with a bigger window than 1024x768 now.
