Symptoms

The game's cutscene video cannot be played with the default Proto 9.0-4 but it can be played with proton-experimental or proton-hotfix. The said video is VP9 encoded and included here:

Reproduction

1. In the Steam library, set the game to the develop beta
2. Launch the game and start a new save
3. The cutscene should be played. If the compatibility options uses proton-experimental or proton-hotfix, the cutscene should play. Using all other versions of proton will not play the video and skip to the gameplay moments later.
