Symptoms

All desktop companion apps (V-Pet Simulator, Desktop Mate, Desktop Kanojo) all show black background, when they should have a transparent background. Desktop Kanojo was particularly bad as it covered the entire screen. There are multiple proton DB entries for this issue. Reports from users on ProtonDB reveal that this issue is GPU agnostic. AMD users will also see this black background that should be transparent.
