I don't expect the game to work on Desktop Linux anyway, due to the anti-cheat, but still - the launcher worked one single time and now never appears. Removing the compatdata folder doesn't help.

There is discussion in Steam forum about the Steam Deck, it appears to be the same situation as Delta Force, Infinity Nikki where the anti-cheat ACE whitelists the Deck with SteamOS but no other distro. The game will launch and play on Deck without issue.

Same thing happens on the release version, i'm guessing it's doing a hardware check and probably also fingerprinting of the kernel.

Users have confirmed on steam forum that proton-em (etaash-mathamsetty) 10-23 and proton-ge 10-5 are working correctly. Proton-ge 10-5 was pulled for undisclosed reason.
