Please re-read again and advice as to what I should do.
I am not having mouse scaling issue, my game is completely frozen when I try to play stretched resolution on native CS on Linux.
There is no error code nothing and I have to kill the process of CS2.
Please advice.
Hello again @VarunGupta961, my initial read of this issue stands. Proton is a compatibility layer for running Windows based games on Linux and this is the project you've chosen to report your issue against. Proton isn't involved with Linux native variants of games.
Search https://github.com/ValveSoftware/csgo-osx-linux/issues for a similar issue, and if there isn't one over there, then open a new issue report in that issue tracker for the Counter-Strike devs to ponder.
Hey, an update: Here is a screenshot. The game is working perfectly fine in the background, I see my character moving and everything, however now I cannot click on anything, there is a 'cursor' it just won't click on any of the icons.

I confirm:
Symptoms The problem is when I try to play stretched resolution on CS2 (4:3) natively. I cannot click ANYTHING in game. I have to kill process, and set default resolution in launch command to fix it. However, when I run it in any proton compatibility mode, the stretched resolution issue that I mentioned earlier is not there and the game works fun, but the caveat is that, proton compatibility triggers VAC anti-cheat and I cannot play Valve servers, i.e. Match making, deathmatch, etc.
