Symptoms

No crashes, but abysmal performance that makes the game almost unplayable. This is especially strange given that it is a 2002 game, whose graphics were plainly simple even for the time.

Reproduction

1. Ensure you are running the game with the Proton 9.0-4 compatibility layer (though the problem is the same regardless of version from my testing)
2. Open the game
3. Observe the abysmal performance
