Symptoms

I installed dotnet48 and neofly in my MSFS prefix.
MSFS and neofly work OK but it seems that neofly can't access MSFS simconnect, I get the following error:
"Warning: Tried to connect to session manager, Could not open network socket"
I assume simconnect works ok as beyondatc works in the same prefix.
How can I debug this?

Reproduction

  • Launch MSFS via steam Play button in library.
  • flatpak run com.github.Matoking.protontricks in a terminal
  • launch neofly.exe with protontricks in the MSFS profile
  • neofly loads and opens correctly
  • neofly network icon (MSFS connection status) stays red and I get the error message in the console
