Symptoms

Reproduction

I am on a brand new Linux Mint install. did sudo apt update followed by sudo apt upgrade and that's pretty much all there is to it.

  1. Open Warno
  2. Start playing 10v10 game

So far I've played 2 games which crashed in two different ways
First one did not have proton log but it did generate a crash report, find it attached as CrashRpt and steam logs as well

Second crash was with proton logging and crashed spectacularly, crashing my desktop environment and freezing my whole computer. Game music did not stop playing curiously, though the game sound effects did stop. I believe I've also found the corresponding game crash dump. Find both attached:

@soypat you mentioned the game crashed twice, but how many games did you play? and how long did it take to crash each time?

2/2 crashed. But that was it. Now it does not crash. It fixed itself or lowering the video setttings fixed it. Something similar happened in one of the latest updates back when I was running a Arch Manjaro OS install. I've switched since to Linux Mint and encountered the issue again, just twice.

I spoke to soon. Today it has crashed spectacularly again. My whole computer stopped responding. had to restart by pressing Reboot button on my PC.
