Symptoms

Game does not start. Steam shows app is running, but does not appear. Logs pasted into below gist indicate

Reproduction

Download Marathon.

Use Experimental [bleeding-edge] branch Proton.
Run with PROTON_LOG=1 PROTON_BATTLEYE_RUNTIME="/home/theo/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Proton BattlEye Runtime/" %command%

Issue has been reproduced by the kind folks on the Marathon Discord on other platforms (Fedora Linux, Nvidia) and receives same error.

What I tried to fix this:

• Using GE Proton, TKG Proton, Proton Hotfix, Proton 8, Proton 9.
• Manually installing dxvk (latest and 1.10) in prefix
• Running without any command line arguments
• running with DXVK_FILTER_DEVICE_NAME="llvmpipe" / "LLVMPIPE"
• Confirmed Vulkan 32 bit and 64 bit drivers were installed and configured
